Playcode's main product, the AI builder that creates and runs websites and apps, is separate: it uses AI credits, with trial credits included, and paid plans add private projects, custom domains, and cloud apps.

Do I need to sign up or install anything?

No signup is required to start coding. Open the playground in your browser and start writing JavaScript. Code runs directly in your browser, so there is nothing to install. Create an account when you want to save projects and open them on other devices.

Can I use npm packages in the playground?

Yes. Import any of the 2 million+ npm packages, such as React, Vue, Lodash, or Axios, and the playground fetches and bundles it automatically. No npm install command needed. Popular packages are cached for fast loading.

What frameworks are supported?

The playground supports the major JavaScript frameworks and libraries: React, Vue, Angular, Svelte, Solid.js, TypeScript, and vanilla JavaScript, plus CSS frameworks like Tailwind CSS, Bootstrap, and Material UI. Templates come pre-configured with the tooling they need.

Every Playcode project includes the AI agent. AI work uses credits; trial credits are included to start.

Can I publish my project to a live website?

Yes. Click Publish and your playground project becomes a live website. No deployment configuration, no hosting provider, no server setup: hosting, SSL certificates, and CDN are included. Connect a custom domain on a paid plan.

Is my code stored in the cloud?

Projects are saved in Playcode and open from any device once you sign in. Playground projects are public by default; private projects are available on paid plans. You choose who can view or edit each project.
